Mikael Tariderviev

Mikael Tariverdiev was a prominent Soviet composer, who was born of Armenian parents in Georgia but lived in Russia. He is an author of over 100 romances and 2 operas. But most of all he is known for his music in many popular Soviet movies. Tariverdiev was a recipient of multiple awards, including the USSR State Prize (1977) and the prize of the American Academy of Music (1975). He was made People's Artist of Russia in 1986.
