THE NANNY - THE CANTOR SHOW 1996 TV :.
The
situation comedy The Nanny about a nanny that gets too
involved with the Sheffield family and jumps-in every time
with her kind of logic from the Queens had some special guests
during its 6 season run, among them Marvin Hamlisch and of
course, Burt Bacharach. In this episode, he is seen playing
the piano for a Broadway show that Mr. Sheffield is going to
produce.

Synopsis:
Fran goes out with the new temple cantor, Gary. When Mr. Sheffield listens him singing, he hires him to be on his next play. He quickly promotes the cantor to the lead of the play after the original actor is run over by a bus, and Gary decides to quit the temple to dedicate his time to his Broadway career. Everyone blames Sylvia and Fran for it, and they start to be ignored at temple. Sylvia throws a curse on Fran and everything starts to backfire until Fran donates the $500 she got from the air company to the temple.
Goofs
Maxwell says to Burt Bacharach that the last person who played their piano was Marvin
Hamlisch, but even though Marvin Hamlisch guest starred in an earlier episode, he did not play himself, but as a Marvin
Hamlisch Look-a-Like.
